    The AV & Entertainment Assistant Manager is responsible for supervising staff and managing the development, coordination and implementation of entertainment, events, audio/visual equipment, automation systems and ensuring optimum guest satisfaction and repeat visits within specified budgetary parameters. The AV & Entertainment Assistant Manager is also responsible for providing superior service to both the internal and external customer and will also be responsible for other entertainment initiatives as required.


    1. Creates an atmosphere that induces guest to have L’Auberge Casino Resort as their casino of choice; responsible for actively building and retaining customer relations and acts as a mentor to employees in order to provide superior customer service.
    2. Trains, motivates, and supervises all A/V staff; ensures all have the knowledge and necessary resources to perform their duties effectively.
    3. Assists in establishing departmental objectives and business plans for entertainment and audio/visual including forecasting, budgeting, staffing and goal-setting.
    4. Oversees, supervises, and directs staff in planning and coordinating with related departments the arrangements of entertainment, events, meeting/sales and audio/visual needs to ensure successful operation as measured by guest satisfaction.
    5. Oversees, schedules, supervises, and directs staff in coordination with related departments the arrangements of entertainment, events, meeting/sales and audio/visual needs to ensure successful operation as measured by guest satisfaction.
    6. Organizes entertainment for event venues by means of communication and meetings. Schedules preparation to maintain proper levels of communication to ensure the success of the entertainment events and relays all information regarding to proper personnel.
    7. Possess the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees, different departments, as well as outside contacts and guests.
    8. Communicates and builds relationship with entertainment agencies, producers and production vendors in order to help them better understand the facility and goals of the event including contract review and execution. 
    9. Works with vendors to collect quotes, negotiates and purchases/rental equipment as well as requests recommendations on productions needs to ensure proper execution of events.
    10. Supervises and/or operates sound, lighting and video equipment for all entertainment programs for L’Auberge Lake Charles
    11. Determines equipment and supplies necessary for the execution of entertainment and audio/visual activities. Ensures timely procurement of necessary equipment and maintain par inventory.
    12. Assists Director of Events & Entertainment and the Events Manager in coordination of all L’Auberge Lake Charles performances and entertainment.
    13. Supervises and/or performs preventative maintenance of equipment and insures the equipment is in good working order; adjusts and repairs equipment, logs repairs with proper documentation and notifies management when correction of major malfunctions are necessary as well as the cost and timeline for repairs to take place.
    14. Supervises and/or positions, installs and connects equipment, such as microphones, amplifiers and lights
    15. Install, terminate, test and label a variety of low voltage and AV-specific cable types: CAT5/6, coax, speaker wire and sensors.
    16. Supervises and/or installs and properly supports a variety of AV components including but not limited to video displays, projectors, screens and speakers.
    17. Installs and terminates AV equipment racks and automation control systems.
    18. Perform start-up and full debugging of AV and automation systems to insure proper working conditions are met.
    19. Maintain and edit all necessary programs and software for Crestron, BSS, and IPTV.
    20. Correct or add code for Crestron, BSS, and IPTV.
    21. Maintain all user interfaces for the automation systems.
    22. Insure that guest room automation is fully functional and if not correct any issues.
    23. Insure hospitality networking is fully functional.
    24. Insure hospitality network user interface is fully functional
    25. Insure the property audio distribution system is fully function at all times.
    26. Maintain all VLAN’s and network for the AV Department as well as update the documentation of any devices added or removed on the network.
    27. Insure that every installation is properly done with superior quality of cable management, labeling and proper setup to prevent failures.
    28. Insure the safety of all techs and guest with proper wiring and electrical safety.

    What are we looking for?

    • Ability to use all equipment associated with the position, including but not limited to IPTV, cable networks, PC Music, software/programs and other devices.
    • Ability to assist in the set up and break down of events/promotions/tournaments as needed.
    • Ability to review and comprehend reports and all other necessary documentation.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with guests, outside contacts, and all levels of employees.
    • Ability to observe and direct actions of staff, ambassadors and volunteers.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and clients, as well as all levels of employees.
    • Technical Support (investigate & resolve AV software & technologies issues as a level 2,
      remote support)
    • Development (project budgets, bidding, policies and procedures.)
    • Project Management (scheduling, tracking, general invoice routing, procurement)
    • Ability to work well with the onsite IT department
    • Ability to use and understand a wide variety of audio/visual equipment and standards
    • Proficient knowledge of all cabling used for audio/visual equipment
    • Proficient knowledge in Audio/Visual and IT terminology
    • Proficient knowledge of electronics, including repair and maintenance procedures and techniques
    • Proficient knowledge of sound systems capabilities and their installation procedures, practices, and techniques
    • Proficient knowledge of lighting techniques, set-up procedures, and maintenance
    • Proficient knowledge of DMX lighting and Digital and Analog Sound Consoles techniques, set-up procedures, and maintenance
    • Proficient knowledge of all Microsoft Software
    • Proficient knowledge of Information Technology
    • Proficient knowledge of Automation Systems and integration (Crestron, BSS, IPTV)
    • Proficient knowledge of Hospitality Systems and Networking
    • Proficient knowledge of Computer Programming
    • Ability to use electronic testing equipment
    • Ability to work quickly and with accuracy under strict deadlines
    • Ability to prioritize, be proactive, handle multiple responsibilities, and work under pressure
    • Ability to be flexible to a changing environment and acknowledge urgency when necessary
    • Must be flexible to edit schedule to meet the demand of the industry
