  • What would I be doing?

    Direct and coordinate departmental activities related to operations of the Security and Valet Departments, including all aspects of staffing, budgeting, compliance with all regulatory requirements; to ensure optimum property presentation, efficient operations and maximize profits.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the management of all staffing to ensure excellent customer service, obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and to maximize profits and property presentation pursuant to policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
    • Establish a working relationship with local, state, federal law enforcement agencies and emergency services
    • Responsible for development and implementation of organizational goals, business strategies, policies, and operational plans/budgets
    • Provides leadership and management to ensure that the mission and core values of the company are practiced
    • Coordinate with local law enforcement regarding illegal activities occurring on the property
    • Direct emergency management during emergency situations
    • Collaborates with the executive management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes and personnel designed to accommodate the growth objectives of the Property
    • Provides immediate response and directs internal investigations
    • Fosters a success-oriented, accountable work environment
    • Regularly reviews and evaluates departmental performance, working with department leadership and the executive team members to take appropriate steps necessary to resolve unsatisfactory results or conditions
    • Motivates and leads a high-performance & effective management team.
    • Promotes and fosters positive employee morale
    • Responsible for all employment related actions, including hiring, termination and evaluation of staff
    • Acts as primary advisor on fiscal, personnel, information and organizational matters
    • Provides leadership for problem resolution to facilitate improvements and improved working relationships
    • Operates with high ethical standards and presents an appropriate professional image at all times
    • Maintains professional relationship with regulatory commissions/agencies to ensure compliance with internal controls, state, local and federal laws Self-Exclusion/Compulsive Gaming Program and resolve areas of concern
    • Ensures high quality guest relations and services are developed and maintained
    • Represent the company in legal proceedings in relation to Security and Risk Management
    • Demonstrates an ability to manage under a collective bargaining agreement, participate in union negotiations as necessary
    • Participate/Oversees the operations of the Safety Committee
    • Other related job duties as assigned

    What are we looking for?

    • Bachelor’s Degree Criminal Justice or equivalent
    • Read write and effectively communicate in English and possess excellent communication, mediation and customer service skills
    • Substantial and verifiable experience in gaming business management of a similar sized property
    • Must possess a minimum of 5 years of senior management experience in a diversified gaming related environment, overseeing all areas of operations, including gaming and finance
    • Knowledge of Casino operations       
    • Must demonstrate strong organizational skills, work efficiently and effectively
    • Must demonstrate sound judgment and critical thinking skills
    • Acquire an in depth knowledge of policies, procedures, federal, state laws, and Gaming Control Board Regulations
    • Possess an ability to understand OSHA regulations and assist with any complaints or findings.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
    • Presents a professional demeanor at all times
    • Leads by example and develops a work environment of employee engagement
    • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Must have a valid PA driver’s license and be insurable
    • Must be licensed by PGCB at the “Key” level
