  • What would I be doing?

    Perform maintenance and repairs to a wide variety of mechanical equipment in the kitchen, casino, pavilion, parking garage, Hotel and grounds. Maintain inventory of and order parts and supplies.

    Responsibilities

    • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work alone.
    • Possess the ability to work from heights including ladders, scaffolds and lifts.
    • Responsible for providing own hand tools of the trade
    • Possess the ability to perform work in a safe and efficient manner, following local, state and federal guidelines and/or codes
    • Possess the ability to comply with all management requests within his/her abilities.
    • Responsible for maintaining shop area, spare parts area, storage area, inventory materials, equipment and associated parts of all the various trades. 
    • Possess the ability for general repairs and basic installations
    • Adjust and perform preventative/predictable maintenance
    • Maintains the information in the shop log or documents his/her assignment through the work order system.
    • Must maintain open lines of communication with supervisors
    • Ability to operate all tools of the trades including power tools safely, maintaining and caring for those tools on a regular basis.
    • Repair and maintain HVAC systems
    • Replace damaged ceiling tiles, floor tiles, and wall coverings
    • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs to equipment on a scheduled basis, including electrical needs
    • Handle routine calls, prioritized by guest service needs
    • Plumbing, drywall repair, carpenter functions, special trade

    What are we looking for?

    • Must have experience in HVAC, Electrical and/or general contracting.
    • Current valid Driver’s License.
    • Must be able to read blueprints and/or written instructions.
    • Ability to share or divide attention among several ongoing activities, projects, or assignments.
    • Strong customer service skills.
    • Ability to work effectively, independently and as part of a team.
    • Ability to follow all policies and procedures including but not limited to attendance, appearance, safety and security policies.
    • Basic knowledge of general repairs, installations, any electrical repair of 120/240 single phase, painting and wall papering, plumbing, carpentry, and drywall in a safe and efficient manner.
    • Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays.
    • Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
    • Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues.
    • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
    • Mechanical aptitude.
    • Problem solving skills.
    • Ability to interact with internal and external guests.
    • High School Diploma or certificate from educational institute.
    • 36 months related experience preferred.
