  • What would I be doing?

    Responsible for administering all Valet operational functions and support of the Valet Manager.  Fosters adherence to Ameristar’s guest service standards by working closely with staff and team members to ensure timely and efficient delivery of valet, door, and coat room services.


    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the efficient operation of the Valet functions including valet, door, and coat room, ensuring 100% guest satisfaction.
    • Supervises the day-to-day activities of the Valet and telecommunication via customer contact and supervisor of Team members, ensuring 100% guest satisfaction.
    • Enters information via VR and Kronos for payroll processing.
    • Utilization of CVPS to run reports on most productive, park/pulls, and create actionable items on any deficiencies.
    • Works closely with the Front Desk and related leadership and areas.
    • Serves as a leader for Team Members while fostering teamwork, Team Member morale, motivation and open communication.
    • Provides direction and support for all staff members in order to achieve department goals and objectives.
    • Coaches and develops Team Members using a consistent, approachable demeanor and clearly articulating expectations.
    • Strives to improve and streamline departmental operations through the continuous assessment of policies and procedures, work processes and program effectiveness/value.
    • Allocates resources to areas that create value to our guests and to Ameristar.
    • Ensures business objectives, ethics and values of Ameristar.
    • Helps maintain and enhance a safe, secure and comfortable environment for our guests and team members.
    • Ensures that guest problems/complaints are managed in a timely, effective and courteous manner.
    • Executes arrangements for all Casino and VIP guests such as greeting, baggage handling and VIP valet, door service treatment.
    • Responsible for cost center and capital expenditures including budgeting, project planning and execution.
    • Supervises training of all Valet staff including valet, door and coat staff, with an emphasis on detail to ensure service levels consistent with Ameristar’s guest service standards.
    • Coordinates cross training between all Valet departments/positions.
    • Responsible for thorough investigation of all vehicle damage/risk problems and accurate recording of investigation and final disposition.
    • Coordinates recovery efforts with Security and Risk Management.
    • Grants complimentaries for hospitality purposes only.
    • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays and fluctuating days off.
    • Carries out duties associated with the following positions as necessary:  Valet Attendant, Valet Cashier, Coat Room Attendant.
    • Conducts all cash handling in accordance with cash handling policy and monitors variances on a daily basis.
    • Coordinated VIP arrivals, including facilitation and ownership of the Limo schedule, and ensures all arrangements have been confirmed prior to arrival.
    • Monitors volume to ensure fast, friendly and efficient service.
    • Ensures that all Valet, Door, and Coat Check Team Members behavior and appearance are in compliance with established policy.
    • Performs duties of Valet, Door, Coat Check Team Members as needed.

    • Ability to analyze a variety of technical problems resulting from a diverse nature of factors.
    • Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Office, Outlook and Excel required.
    • Must be able to work within a smoke-filled environment.
    • Must be able to lift/carry up to 20 pounds, push/pull up to 100 pounds, and possess the mobility and dexterity required to meet the demands incumbent to this position.
    • Must be able to stand/walk 100% of shift
    • Driving record must meet driver eligibility requirements of Ameristar’s insurance policy.

    Required Education and Work Experience

    • College degree preferred.
    • Supervisory experience required.
    • Experience in resolving guest complaints and in dealing with the public required.
