    As a Hotel Sales Manager you are for responsible for developing an environment that creates excitement for guests and employees, promoting and retaining a highly skilled work force. The Hotel Sales Manager in this position is responsible for assisting the VP of Hotel Operations in administering the Sales function in accordance with established policies and procedures to ensure achievement of sales and revenue goals and provision of quality service to customers; develops sales leads for group bookings in order to provide L’Auberge Lake Charles with business consistent with targeted clients and volume level.

    Responsibilities

    1. The Hotel Sales Manager in this position is responsible for developing an environment that creates excitement for guests and employees, promoting and retaining a highly skilled work force. 
    2. Assists in hiring, training, motivating, evaluating and supervising sales staff to ensure proper staffing and that employees receive adequate guidance and resources to perform job responsibilities in accordance with department objectives.
    3. Works with department managers in planning for property promotions and special events reservations to ensure most strategic room blocks and facilitation of service to guests.
    4. Corresponds verbally and in writing with potential and past clients to solicit bookings; meets and entertains prospective clients to encourage their stay. 
    5. Writes contracts and proposals following solicitation of customers to formally document oral agreements and terms; presents to Director of Sales. 
    6. Coordinates with Reservations in order to ensure that all rooming lists, deposits, and requests are arranged. 
    7. Handles site inspections, which includes showing the property to prospective clients in order to make a good impression leading to sales. 
    8. Makes personal sales calls and travels to trade shows to produce leads for future business or to maintain good relationships with current clientele.

    • Ability to observe and direct actions of subordinates.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees.
    • Strong sales ability, interpersonal communication skills, and negotiating ability required
